food bowl door
shine feels good
and yellow grass
tickles my nose
i sneezes
girl wafts by
and pats my head
wags i my tail
shes pleased
sees i her go
my boy she know
and takes to him
my scent
hunger itches
time to leave
i stretches
all unbent
i ups and lopes
down back my trail
scratch fleas and screens
outside my food bowl door
no boy to play
no bone to worry
plops i my haunches
down far as floor
nose to porch
i blows the dust
that brings my boy
from gone
away from door
we run the fence
we call the birds
we splash the pond
shakes i, squawks he
we go to door
he opens and
my feed is found
grubs i the bowl
licks up the scraps
turn round my rug
and hits the ground
boy ball and bat
bark stay and go
set i and watch
the food bowl door
is good to have
a trail to git
a boy to fetch
a rug to snore
and yellow grass
tickles my nose
i sneezes
girl wafts by
and pats my head
wags i my tail
shes pleased
sees i her go
my boy she know
and takes to him
